Two families coming together in love, life, and faith. That’s what the lovely wedding of Shannon and Josh was. Taking place at the stunning St. Patrick Church in Carlisle, light streamed in through the stained glass to reveal this church’s humble 1779 beginnings. Shannon and Josh’s closest friends helped these two get ready before they took their plunge into marriage. They chose a purple and white color scheme and peppered these colors throughout from the bridesmaids dresses, groomsman’s ties, flowers, and even the mother’s dresses.
With a traditional Catholic ceremony, Shannon and Josh’s day was filled with tradition. An especially wonderful family touch was the bride’s brothers and mother played music and sang throughout their ceremony. How wonderful is that? Following the ceremony and family photos, we all headed down to Thornwald Park to take fun party and couple photos! These two and their party both rocked their photo session! The sunlight coming through the trees lit these two perfectly in all the fall park beauty. Between brick walls, gazebos, and a forest backdrop, I couldn’t have asked for a more stunning backdrop for this wedding party.
After we wrapped up their photo session, we headed over the St. Patrick Activity Center where the family had set up lights, banners, and backdrops to create a perfect setting for a reception. Dances were had, speeches were given, and dinner was served. Following dinner, guests danced with the happy couple for their dollar dance, the bouquet and garter toss were held, the cake was cut, and HUGE family photos were taken with just about everyone in attendance. Before I left the happy couple, we stepped outside to catch the perfect golden hour light and these two just glowed with happiness. So here’s to another 100 years of happiness to the happy couple, and without further ado, Shannon and Josh’s wedding.

You ever meet two people that literally might change the world with kindness? Well I have, and it’s these two fantastic people. Sam and Von. One of my favorite aspects of their wedding day was on each table at their reception, they put photos of dogs that were up for adoption at a local shelter. I mean seriously, if that is not one of the most wonderful things ever, I don’t know what is! Their fun and loving attitude was evident throughout the day. Case and point, someoneeee forget their wedding bands, these two just laughed it off and had a good chuckle at the alter when they ‘exchanged their rings.’
The whole day was filled with that laughter. Despite Mother Nature deciding to make it rain all day, these two (and their party) rocked it! Sam pulled out rain boots for all the ladies and umbrellas were held as props. These two and their party certainly made the best of everything that was thrown at them! Purple accents highlighted almost every small detail from dresses, bouquets, the cake, and even small touches handmade by family like pumpkin decorations made by the bride’s mom.
The couple’s Best Man and Maid of Honor touched everyone with their wonderful speeches, even some happy tears were shed. The shoe game left everyone in attendance laughing. Not to mention, the looks of disbelief on both the bride and groom’s faces with their answers to some of the questions. We lucked out with some rain for their night photo session. Now most would not consider the rain ‘luck’ but wow! These two got a little wet, and we rocked some umbrella and rain night shots! Some of my favorite wedding photos to date!
The night winded down with a cake cutting and a very polite cake smash. With family and friends shots done, these two and their guests danced the night away. Von’s grandpa led the way with some of his moves! So here’s to another 100 years of laughter, love, and happiness to these two love birds! Without further ado, Sam and Von’s wedding.

It’s not too often that I get lucky enough to shoot courthouse weddings. I know they are on the rise, but they’re usually 10 minutes, just the couple, and people don’t bring a photog. Thankfully, this was not the case with Ashley and Jonathon’s wedding. These two brought their families and friends, and then we got to go to the fire company where Jonathon works and shoot their couple session with FIRETRUCKS! I know, freaking firetrucks! I’m pretty sure I was just as excited about this as the couple!
We all met up at the courthouse and waited while a hearing finished up. Family and friends slowly streamed in and hugs, kisses, and smiles were exchanged by all. Who says you can’t have a fun wedding if it’s at a courthouse?? These two knew how to make this a special and intimate ceremony! The presiding judge, Judge Masland, was wonderful! Leading a quick and lovely ceremony he posed for photos, joked with the little kids, and made sure the couple had everything before we left for the firehouse!
I mean seriously, could it get any more fantastical then a couple session at a firehouse? The guys working were great too, helping turn on lights, and holding cords. Not only could you tell that these two were surrounded on their wedding day by friends and family that loved them, but also by Jonathon’s coworkers at the firehouse. These two lovebirds had so many fun ideas too, and their love and affection for each other hopefully shines through in the photos. Congrats to Ashley and Jonathon and many, many more years to come! Now check out this lovely courthouse wedding!
